SOL Tuesday 3 lines

“It feels like I’m writing all the time,” I told her, “just not on the book project, per se.”

“I write as if I were speaking. That makes it much easier.”

“I could probably afford to post less and sleep more,” I said.

  1. So much in these three lines! They could be part of the same conversation or part of different conversations. So much mystery and so many potential paths to getting the work done and working the writing out, and I think these three lines capture that essential thing about writing and the writing life. It feels like there are worlds behind these lines, and I like that. I also like that the back story isn’t included, no contexts or descriptions. We re left to absorb and wonder.
